Hi everyone, i have just bought my 09 Repsol Blade . I had a 97 blade about 7 years ago and an SP1 before that!! I have to say how much tech has moved forward, the 09 is a brilliant piece of craftsmanship. I have been really happy til this morning when i got to my wife's work and the ABS light started to flash, now the front brake is crap and the back stopped working!! When i apply the front it's instant stop, bloody dangerous in the rain this morning!! Gonna take it to the place i bought it and explain the things i've read on the net!!
Welcome to forum ol bean. I had problems with the ABS when i first switched from 97RRV to my new Repsol. It turns out I had been covering the front brake just a touch too much as I pulled away which the ABS didnt like. If the ABS light blinks it means the system is off and they operate like conventional brakes (harsh compared to our old callipers) if it does flash simply turn it off and then on again and it resets the ABS! having had the ABS for a while now I think its great, especially in this slippy stuff!
