I know that phonetics are subjective and people see different things, but I just read Icarus's reg (which you should really blank out in open forum mate) and, to me, it read 'METEOR F*CKER'.

    How cool is that!

Home made effort, pretty crude, but the blade is a great bike for it: various easy to access bolts to mount things to, so it's not a complicated job.
Don't use ali though; the vibes make it crack and fatigue eventually.
I think there are proper racks available somewhere, but they usually stick out the back to allow room for pillions. I prefer the box over the pillion seat so I can back the bike in to tight parking slots next to walls etc..., although it does make getting on the bike a bit awkward at times.

The box full of useful things and a massive lock, plus heated grips, heated jacket and the ABS make it a reasonable winter hack!
I wrote a full review on the forum somewhere.

smashing; i enjoy seeing shadetree solutions and seeing what other people come up with.

i never found anything that came close to what i wanted for the 1krr, so i applied some home remedy myself:
modular mounting points, a removable rack, and a place to mount some saddlebags all without modifying any of the stock parts.

No probs, you need to screw 3 small holes into battery tray to attatch it.
