Hi folks from a wet and dreary west of Ireland . I am a bit of an old girl having been riding for donkeys years (as in Eyore. I just picked up a spotless 04 Blade yesterday with 12,600 miles on the clock so this weather is driving me mad. I have a spoiled brat of a Ducati 998S that lives in the house and a Triumph Sprint ST 1050 for a bit of comfort, so I have added the Blade to my garage hoping that it will be easy to maintain and reliable as well as putting a big smile on my face too. Here is a pic, the colour reminds me of British airways planes so I may call him Speedbird.
hello eyore and welcome along, looks a stunner you have found there hope you enjoy it in the right place for all the great road racing as well!! do you go to them all? we have been going to the ulster for the last to years and love it!
Thanks guys, yes some great roads around here, generally quiet except in mid summer. Road surfaces are a bit variable, but a lot better that a few years ago. I do go to some of the road racing ok, Athea races are just near me , but Walderstown and Skerries are good as of course are Ulster races. Going to the TT in 2013 so will definitely be bringing the Blade. Anyone planning an IOM forum get together?
I know a few are going to the IOM, wish I could make it but left it to late to decide to come along. So hoping 2014
we meet again eyore lol I had the 848(we chatted a few times on the other forum) got another blade again and moved in here.have to meet up at one of the races this year.see if any of there other Irish/N.Irish lads on here want to meet up too
. Welcome eyore. I used to spend a lot of time in Ireland on business mainly in Dublin but also in Limerick and never ever went home without a black stuff hangover. Sadly not as often now. Great country and love your people. An Irish person liking BA, that’s a new one on me but for reference (I do business with BA) its officially called the swoosh, which I think is a nice name for a Blade. Be lucky
Ahhh, but the boss of BA, Willie Walsh is Irish . Thanks for kind comments, despite some great roads around here I am over in Scotland at every opportunity and also love Wales. I'l tell you what I'l send you over as much Guinness as you want in return for the same amount of Waggle Dance
Hi Eyore, welocme aboard and nice bike by the way. Been to the Skerries myself a few times and watched some fantastic racing there, but on too many occassions found it difficult to make out of the Man-o-War pub or the Cricket club...love Ireland!!
