Any idea where this connector is connected to???? Its near the tail light of the bike and similar to the exhaust servo co nnector
I have to say, I had the entire back end of my RR7 dismantled the other week, and the only large plug was the one for the Exhaust Servo. Looking at the wiring diagram in my Haynes manual, the picture you've posted even seems to have the correct wire colours to be the Exhaust Servo...... are you absolutely sure it isnt the Exhaust Servo?!?!?
That is the Honda Option connector. Nothing plugs into it as standard (it for alamrms etc). The wire colours are Orange - Indicator Light blue - indicator Green - Ground Black/White - After ignition live Red / Green - Permanent live
The story behind this connector is that the bike I own is a stolen and recovered bike which I bought at an auction. The theives stole the bike and could not get it to start, unaware of the HISS security. They tried to change the wiring harness from another bike. I am replacing the wiring harness back to the original and came across this connector which does not seem to connect to anything near it. All the other connectors are sorted except this one. Will it run if nothing is plugged into it i.e alarm unit??? I am currently waiting on a ECU and matching keys off ebay.
