All the best to him on his move from Tech3, alway`s comes across as a genuine down to earth kind of chap. You do get that feeling though that it`s like putting a donkey out to graze after spending all your life on Weston super mare beach...

Feel free if you think i`m being a bit harsh with the analagy.

He may not be that much off the proper GP bikes

They're getting Yamaha engines and tech 3 frames.

He's a Great development rider and loves testing so i can understand why he took this challenge.

You're both right, in my opinion. Edwards is a brilliant team rider and is one of the last of the old school 'human' racers and until he retires will be an asset to whoever he rides with. The newer breed of younger, machine-like efficient riders coming into MotoGP will make his like less and less desirable to the teams in the top code. They require riders they can put back in the cupboard after the PR event and Edwards ain't that kind of dude. Look what he was like after he broke his collar bone, turning up to practice still off his tits on meds, demanding his leathers. The boy's a superbike rider!

    Good luck to him.

Put out to grass? A good analogy, but I'm sure he would prefer it put out to stud.
