I'm collecting a few bits to send to Afghanistan for my brother but don't have a clue what to put in there! Can anyone suggest anything they would have liked and and what would be useful? I have a few bits to embarrass him Disney princess plasters Teddy bear Plastic toy soldiers (reinforcements) Plus some biscuits Crisps Sweets (not choc) Any help much appreciated Thanks Martin
How about a a strap on, might get a laugh or slap. Anything he likes, what hobbies does he have? How about a beer or 3
anything sexually orientated will get seized by mod plod. home comforts! soft toilet tissue custard powder (yes, really) decent uk toothpaste socks etc etc its the little things that count.
When my BIL was out there it was sweets and magazines he couldn't get enough of. Mind you, your brother's in an American base, their PX is usually better stocked than Waitrose.
Sounds daft but proper English tea bags, would have sold a ball for some PG tips when we where in Borneo.
Marmite…everyone LOVES marmite Playboy and mayfair. Everyone loves a wafty crank. Bournville hot chocolate drink Tea bags And, a picture of family, that always goes down well.
I'm pretty much going with Si for making up my Red Cross parcel when the time comes. Although I don't drink tea and I would probably visit war torn shitholes just to get away from family but otherwise he's pretty spot on.
Never forget Martin that if he needs someone to chat with all we need is an email, I'm sure we've got members happy to drop him a line or two. If he could stand the bollocks.
