blade keeps cutting out

    Hi everybody Im new to this forum.
    I have a problem with My 05 1000rr Its keeps cutting out randomly
    Somebody said its the datatool3 alarm imobilizer. not working when it should. Anyone hear had any similar probs

    Could be...do 05's have bank angle sensor? Another thought...

    Check bank sensor, battery terminals
    An then bin the datatool lol
    People get more grief than enough from these things

    Your right phantom that bloody thing has given Me nothing but hassle. Its coming out tommorow.

    Would You know where the bank sensor is on 05

    If they're the same as the 08 then its screwed to the inside of the nose cone inbetween the headlights.

    Anything with data tool written on should be removed and smashed into a million pieces and scattard across the world. Then your blade will be working fine.

    Mine did the same the Battery terminals had flexed and although in one piece this caused a short .

    succsesfully removed the datatool and now runs like a dream with no beeping and ear splitting siren

    Datatool have a poor reputation sometimes unfairly as I've fitted many,many units and when they pack up you wont get the bike started at all until completely removed.Few of the suspects have been mentioned, the earth terminals, angle sensor. propstand connector (green) handlebar kill switch (wd40) all these contacts need to be clean bright and tight as they do corrode.
