I've recently bought a 2005 CBR1000RR to use for track days. Currently going through the bike to make it fit-for-purpose. Looking forward to riding it, if it ever stops raining. Pete
Hi neighbour...... at last someone local ! maybe we ll see you at some tracks next yr ? Rob (Evesham)
Hello again, I'm considering my options for a paint scheme on the track-day CBR, the nicer it looks, the more expensive it is. I've almost narrowed it down to one of these two. By the way Rob, I'm nearer Evesham than Stratford. Pete
By the way Rob, I'm nearer Evesham than Stratford. Pete[/QUOTE] keep in touch with next yr s track days mate........ im off to Almeria next week with mine..... ps first scheme looks better
Hi and welcome. That 2nd red is the US spec 2012 isn't it. Looks better in the flesh but agree, perhaps a little bland.
I like the first colour scheme best, but it will also be the most expensive to reproduce. The second one is less impressive but also less money. I keep reminding myself that this is a track bike, so it may get binned first time out. Many years ago, I completely destroyed a brand new CBR900 race bike on the second lap of qualifying, so I know it happens. Here's a picture of it shortly before I killed it. (Please excuse the mad leathers, they were fashionable once... honest!)
Hi and welcome to the forum, cucujvkfl tv nnijhoozyo Sorry those leathers dazzled me for a second there but I'm all right now Bike looks good, I so need to have a track bike !
Know what you mean about the leathers as I used to have a set of dainese ones years ago.... in white , purple and luminous orange !! :O
