I have recently fitted a RRY master cylinder to my RRW Blade. It is an improvement but i would like something a bit better. Now lots of bikes from about 2005 onwards have fancy radial master cylinders on them as standard. Does anyone know what bore my current master cylinder is and what would be a better choice from the second hand radial master cylinder market? There are offerings from GSXR 600/750/1000, R6, Ducati's etc, all at about £80, a cheap upgrade without spending £400 on a aftermarket one.

Have been thinking of doing the same to my RRX, just looked at Haynes and M/C bore is 15.870 to 15.913 new, service limit 15.925mm
Piston is 15.827 to 15.854 new, service limit 15.815mm.

Also seen whole front ends on ebay in the USA, everything except the wheel and mudguard for £600 ish....????

So its a 16mm then, you couldnt have a look what size the RRY master cylinder bore is could you? Can you give me a link to where this info is? Ot have you just got the manual.

I thought about changing the front end but i reckon you would do better by having the originals Maxtonised. Cheaper too!

I just happened to have my Haynes manual by the computer so can't point you in the right direction for a RRY.

Maxton would certainly do a great job, but with the whole front end you get the brakes and USD forks. Suppose it depend how far you want to go and wether to keep it standard looking. I remember reading ages ago in a Bike mag suppliment done by Maxton that the RRW/X has too much high speed comp damping on the front and my 08 Blade really highlights this so I put 5w oil in and it helps but a revalve would be better
