Sorry to embarrass you Arthur, but I just wanted to publicly thank you for all of your help and advice you have given on this forum. I know I am not alone here in often being in awe of your depth of knowledge combined with your willingness to share it. You always have time (and in my case a hell of a lot of patience) explaining things and offering your advice and always in a friendly supportive way. You spend time replying, finding out things and doing things for members, you are a gem mate. Merry Xmas and a heartfelt thank you. Nigel
I'll second that mate. I've never came across a guy that is more helpful or willing to share his knowledge. A true gent. Think it's only right that we acknowledge the good guys, as all to often all you ever here are the negative stories. Merry Christmas mate.
I agree . Vey nice fella , has given me some top advice for my blade a few times . Owe him a few cups of tea down Loomies !
I couldn't agree more, Arthur is a top bloke. I've been to him a couple of times, 140 mile round trip each time, but totally worth it to have someone who not only has immense knowledge but cares about his customers bikes. He also doesn't rip you off! All the best mate, and thanks.
Well I think Arthur is a person of dubious personal habits. He is a nose picking, snot eating, arse scratching, lift farting, garlic belching, hateful little homunculus of a man and I don't care who knows it. Only joking. I think he is a brilliant and generous example to us all and an great ambassador of biking and the fraternity spirit it engenders in its members. He is a true asset to any forum and I consider us blessed that we are one of those he has chosen to belong to. In fact, my calculations have proved that if there were just three more people like Arthur in the world there would be peace throughout mankind, famine and poverty would disappear, my pension would suddenly rematerialise and everybody on the planet would have a fully functioning Ducati on there drive. Arthur, please accept from Jeanette, Bert and I, a heartfelt merry Christmas and a lottery winning new year to you, Val and Foose. The usual cheque will be in the post, I trust...
Guys what can I say.. Thanks very much, very kind of you to post up... I'm lost for words for once...lol Have a happy Christmas and your all very welcome it's always nice to try and help someone out makes me happy and I'm very chuffed that Nigel and you all think I'm some help. Cheers to you all!
How many forums do you get some very helpful people on and members who are grateful for the help received Art
Thanks mate, talking of your WR (dirt bike and all that) I dragged out my home made DR today, last used 8 years ago! Left fuel in it and no oil, so cleaned the carb, new plug, some gas, ONE kick and away she goes....lol Seems Im gonna be back on the old 1980's twin shock in the new year....after I make a new stainless exhaust system, some changes to the frame and arm and rebuild the forks, brakes and make a new lighter loom... You know it's never let me down not EVER made from scrap and whatever was around she still trucks on after all this time... I wonder how the WR would be if left with fuel in for 8 years in a old shed!?
Yes I would like to second all that , Arthur don't really know you , But thanks on the advice over the quad ,, picked it up yesterday 504 mile round trip ( margate ) thanks again , Ps many thanks also to Martinowen.
Ah good man, I was going to ask.... I saw this old photo in my album and was going to post it, a very kind mate of mine loaned me this LTZ400 to do an Enduro on, I came 19th out of 169 riders not bad for a first time out.... I just don't tell people it took me TWO weeks to recover and get the feeling back in my hand! Phone cameras weren't so good back then...lol
Well I also have to say thanks, Arthur has helped with both the blade and the Ducati, he is always to happy to offer information on more expensive shiny shit I have no need for ! He then puts up with emails, texts and phone calls from me finding out how to fit my new titanium/carbon/solid gold item to the bike Thanks a lot Arthur and a merry Christmas and a happy new year to you
Your welcome mate, happy Christmas to you too, please stop showing me images of stuff fitted to your bike...haha...it don't help my illness!
Is there any other reason to drag yourself to work, well ! My job anyway ! Ordered those samco hoses yet
lol, NO.... spring time....lol Oh don't worry it's the same for us all, work = playtime, the bike! If I won the loto, buy new track bike then sod off somewhere hot!
