Hi all, I have recently purchased my first blade (after years of riding, what took me so long?) It's a 2009 model with very low mileage. Bike is a track bike with daytime MOT and is fairly standard which is what I was looking for as I don't ride on the road much these days but love track riding.

I've just bought a HM quick shifter to fit and have sent the fairing panels off to be sprayed in Samsung Honda colours. I've fitted a gear indicator and am looking to upgrade the front brakes next with SBS dual carbon brake pads, brembo master cylinder and hel brake lines. I was thinking of buying the Galfer waves discs but unsure what benefit I would get from them, any thoughts?

Not got any pics to post yet but will post some when the panels are back and fitted.
    Thanks for checking me out

Welcome to the forum, pics are a must when you get your fairings sorted (the guys need their daily fix of CBR's)

I was running Std calipers and brake discs with a brembo 18-20 RCS M/C, hell lines and Brembo race pads and that set up was awesome, the discs are a big outlay, with no real return IMO, the QS is a great buy I just bought one for the DUC and had one on my blade :)

Gilles gearshift rod support may be a good buy to keep the shift crisp and clean ;)

Also speak to Arthurbikemad as he might know of a good supplier for the HEL lines or jonnyarnett does some good rates on them too.

Also we have a discount from Demontweeks that may help on the pads :) saying that the OE pads are bloody good and did me fine at cadwell with no fade at all :)

Thanks for the info Jamie, I was thinking along those lines with the wavey discs, a lot of outlay but wasn't sure what I would get in return with regards to performance. What do you think about the HRC quick action throttle? Anybody fitted and using one?
Thanks for the welcome guys and I look forward to meeting up with some of you on some track days next year.

Just ordered the break lines from Jonny at Bikebits, cracking price for forum members! Ordered blue to match the panels. Can't wait to get all the bits fitted and get her back together, she will be awesome

I had the HRC quick action throttle, can't believe I did not add that to the list .... Great bit of kit a must for the track but works well on the road as well, full kit comes with two new cables and is not to bad to fit, more hassle getting the air box off really :)

Honda high screen is good and you will ground the pegs so rear sets might be a good idea SES do good ones for a fair price and sell parts should the worst happen :)

Two up on the rear sprocket livens the bike up :)

Then suspension ohlins or ketch then HM dash, then BST wheels, then .......... Lol enjoy mate might see you at one with my treacherous ducati !!!! Unless I get a blade track bike in the spring ;)
