    Hey guys and gals

I have a 2012 HRC blade, which gets used nearly everyday. I have been on holiday the past 3 weeks and didnt ride for 2 weeks, bike started fine, took it for a nice long ride and 2 days later it wouldnt start.
what could be the problem? I had to run start it and then went for a ride stopped and it starts fine.
Could it be the battery or altenator?
Any ideas anyone had the same problem?

Check the connectors to the battery terminals are tight mate.

I've heard of a few going loose.

Be very surprised if it was a fault with the reg/rec or genny as Colin sais check the connections on the battery terminal. Easy enough to check the charging with a multi meter either way be covered by the warranty.

Funny that, I took delivery of a brand new 2011 HRC blade and within 2 weeks the battery had died. The dealer, Blade Honda of Stratford were great, they collected the bike checked everything out and finally replaced the battery and then delivered the bike back to me. Maybe yours will be ok but keep an eye on it. I have mine hooked up to an optimiser.

Thanks for all the replies guys.
I will check the terminals are tight now and see. You never know I guess how long the battery has sat on a shelf in the factory in Japan before its fittedto the bike and then how long the bike has sat before being sold, so battery could die or just be faulty i guess.

Will let oyu know what the outcome is.
    Cheers

Gave my local dealer a call today and explained the issue, the guy said its a common problem on the new blades coming from japan with faulty batteries, so they are ordering me a new battery under warranty.
Thanks for all the help guys.
I think they should do a recall on all 2012 blades and replace batteries just to be safe
