Hi everyone, I'm new here and firstly would like to wish you all a happy new year, secondly, I have recently purchased a 59 plate repsol blade which has a power commander V fitted, yet the bloke I bought the bike from put the stock exhaust on it and didn't sell it with the acropovic exhaust.
Will I still notice a difference in performance with the stock exhaust or are power commanders only useful with aftermarket exhausts?
    Cheers

    Thanks phantom,
I've never had a power commander on a bike before. Is it "idiot proof" or should I go to a garage...? I mean can I f**k it up???

it is a very easy bit of kit to you.plenty of online guides and installation videos
in case you do get confused but I doubt that would happen.

    Hello 'n' Welcome Benson :)

I fitted a Power Commander V to my 59 HRC it cost me £150 for custom map and dyno time but it cost now't if you visit Dynojet uk website and download the maps you need, there is quite a few on there for different cans but also for stock!
If you didn't get the usb cable with the bike for the PCV then any (usb to mini usb) cable does eg. digital camera usb lead, external hard drive lead!

There is instructions on the site how to download and install the maps onto the PCV! Good luck buddy :).

Hi everyoneand thanks for all the advice ,

I have managed to download the map onto my laptop, (now I apologise in advance for sounding a "Biff"), however as the Power Commander V is already fitted to the bike, when i plug it in do I send the map while the bike is running or just ignition on or switched off???

    Cheers

You just need power to the power commander, they come with a 9V battery and adapter but you could charge from laptop I think?
