Ahoy! I've been on this glorious forum for a bit but have only recently sorted the photobucket thing out. So here's my bike. 2009 ABS model on Pilot Road 3's. It's the midnight blue and silver model. I love it. It's normally in use at least 5 days a week year round as it is a working vehicle and I zip around town on it. Parents live in the South West so I'm often mooching down there on it or abroad. Not riding for a couple of months cos I'm recovering from a broken leg. Back in action around March I reckon. Mechanic rang me today (having stuff done on it) and he says it is shockingly filthy. Shame on me. The bike's pretty standard at the mo. I think the tank pad is the only modification! By the time I get it back it will have McGuinness screen GB racing engine covers R + G tail tidy (still trying to source a 2nd hand one if poss) Lust Racing crash bungs 7 x 5.5 number plate Thank you already to Craig and Si who have helped out with a new belly pan and tail tidy (unfortunately the TT did not fit mine but it's gone to a good home). My overused words/expressions are 'Shipmate' 'By the Power of Greyskull' I'll get some pics up. This is where it all started, on the test ride.
Posing outside Cafe Nero in fancypants Covent Garden. No one took a blind bit of notice. Bloody philistines. In Normandy for the Le Mans MotoGP run. We didn't make it to the race in the end. Saw a few war graveyards. Sickening the thought of all those boys dead in their prime. At my last home
And a few from last year's run through France to Almeria way. Mojacar's the nearest town I seem to remember. Sorry about the poor quality pictures. Sun! I vaguely remember the stuff. Kriegaed to the max! Somewhere on the Med near the French/Spanish border. This is my favourite picture of the bike. Near Almeria. I wasn't there for the track but I've been past it a few times. And on the run home.
Nice pics Longshanks, I do like to see a bike getting some proper use. To hell with a clean bike I say, I'm far to busy riding it!
Cool Pics .Your bike looks tiny in the first pic I presume from your name you are taller than average PS Can you do the Lambeth Walk??
I'm about 6'2. And I have big feet. My friends say I look ridiculous on it. But you couldn't get me off it with a pick and a crowbar. Utterly besotted with it. Cannot do the Lambeth Walk at the moment with this gammy leg! Give me a month or two. I'm from very near there and my son was born just the other side of it (St Thomas's hospital). So I suppose I'm Lambeth to the core. Where did you get Eyore from?
nice pics mate they are always welcome to brighten up the dark winter days, what are those tyres you got on yer bike then?
