Newby needs help

    Hi just joined wonder if any of you guys have fitted hid lights if so where did you put the ballasts cbr1000 rr repsol

    Make sure it is a bike type hid set up cos the ballast is alot smaller.Mine is tucked under the headlight in the little shelf that hides all the wiring.I cable tied mine to the loom.No problems with it whatsoever.Great lights, wouldn't be without them now.Oh welcome aboard:)

    Ah! sideways thanks for the welcome I have already got the bulbs in and all wired I also have twin slimline ballasts for m/cs haven't tried to put them under the light will look at that tomorrow good thinking - I was trying to fit them somewhere around the air intakes proper struggled ,still trying to find my way around this site hahaha I will get there lol thanks to phantom lets hope we can crack these they look awesome

    people do the air flapper mod that removes the two control diaphragm's
    leaving room for the ballasts.
    there is threads on how to do that mod on here too.

    Having just one light hid (dipped beam) there is room for one ballast under there , not sure on two.Intake is probably neater but at the expense of time taking them wretched fairings off and modding the intakes.

    Welcome mate. With the right ballast you'll fit one in the right hand side fairing, which I've done. The second is the same as sideways.

    Hi phantom - thought of that already don the flapper mod and exhaust mod sounds ace think I will go down the road of fitting in the inlet pipes I will see if I can take pics / video with the exhaust mod seems to have a little more midrange don't know weather this is more power or just more lineer in the way it produces it improved anyway lol thanks for input pal
