Might be interested mate. What does the linkage improve in your view?

i found the suspension just worked better ;)

felt like i had more traction in the rear .. especially coming out of bends ... just seem to track the road better in the rear if you know what i mean
having recently refitted the standard linkage and riding the bike, the turn in requires more effort with the 04/05 linkage imho ..
i have a feeling the 06/07 raises the rear slightly giving better turn in .. couldn't say for sure as I never measured the before and after heights at the rear
(I was running a gpr damper ( for sale see other thread ;) ).. so turn in effort was not effected by the electronic steering damper changing the rate)

the 06/07 linkage adopted the 04/05 'HRC' linkage geometry
the standard 04/05 linkage was a compromise to allow for a pillion ... and is create a more progressive rising rate than the hrc / 06/07 linkage
the 04/05 hrc geometry was developed for solo riding and it has a more linear rising rate
a 04/05 HRC linkage was silly money for what is is ..

for £15 you've got nothing to lose ...

    Hi Irc,

have just bought a 04 race bike and dont know if it has the original linkage or 06. Could you give me some dims or part numbers.
If I have the 04, I'll have this linkage off you.

    Thanks
    Layne

Ok, measured link arms and these are 170mm long centre to centre and the side of the rocker arm that is parallel with the link arms measures 120mm c/c. How does this compare to yours?

Also can I assume the 06 shock doesn’t make much difference?
