Carrying on from Tgosai`s thread early in December last year. There was quite a few of you who had asked if he could fit them, I now have someone who will be able to fit them on a weekend or a wednesday. He is a full time bike mechanic but he has just got himself a workshop to do his private work and eventually turn it into a full time thing. He`s been working on my bikes for a few years now and I have had nothing but good service from him. So if anyone wants there lights done or anything else, quickshifter, bazazz units, PC5, etc and live in the South East then let me know and I can pass his number on. He`s based in Wallington, Surrey..
wish I lived closer....want to fit a set but with doing long shifts I cant be arsed doing them myself atm
excellent news, although im in scotland i would be willing to travel. has he done retrofit work before for you mate?
yes he has but not a great deal, I`m not keen on any dramatic changes to the bike although I have seen some real nice stuff he`s done for other people. An added bonus is he used to work for Dobles so he know`s his Blades, in fact he had one but got banned on it so he sold it until his bann was over. Does a lot of work on race bikes as well, mainly the superstcoks that support BSB.
no he dont have a website, he has a full time job and is doing this in his spare time.. I have been running my own business for 25 years and I dont have a website, i havn`t advertised for 15 years either, i no longer need to
Fitting bi xenon can be tricky I've done 3 bikes in the last few months 1) fixing your projector.. to your stock chrome reflector can push your new projector lens to your light glass so no movement. For MOT! 2) in stock reflector your projector won't be in the middle of your light ie look shit! 2004/07 lights & as above 3) drilling hole to make it fit in stock chrome reflector can make it weak an shock/vibration wont last long! Plus above
Givover its about making bracket the rite size and fucking about taking measures cutting & grinding. Then spraying it up
If you are thinking about doing it Giv I'd recommend buying yourself a cheap set of Chinese headlights, so that even if it did go wrong, or you don't like it your not ruining your OEM's
Thanks boys might give it a miss .I have a vision of a pile of blue and white ash on the garage floor .lol
