......and you're a bunch of wankers Well not really, you're all actually really nice but I've not had a fag since Sunday night and I'm climbing the walls. I wish there was an E-Cig store somewhere round here. I should've planned this better
Keep it up mate. You know it will be worth it in the end. Way to see it mate is to think of the fact that a week off the fags will pay for the fuel in the bike.
keep on goin mate it is worth it .i went to a freinds funeral last week he died of smoking related lung cancer .he was 42 with 3 kids its not easy and after 6 years i could sometimes do with one but most of the time you just forget about it after a while
Cheers, lads. I know it's for the best. I think that "that conversation" with the doctor is what's wanting to make me quit.
Just keep smoking - lots its more taxes from your already taxed income to the government to help out. [Please note above is meant in jest, and I wish you all the very best - not smoked myself but know everyone says its a nightmare to quit - way harder than heroin as the body craves nicotine for weeks / months while heroin is gone in a few days]
Just done it myself. Its been 18 days. Get ready for the cold and flu symptoms which seem to accompany stopping and keep telling yourself that you will feel better in the long run
It will get easier mate, I gave up 8 years ago now and feel much better for it. You have done the hardest stretch all about will power now, KEEP STRONG
now i dont mean you question your will power mate but hadnt you just quit a few months ago on our last forum meet ? i have never even touched a fag and cant stand them, good luck with it this time and i hope you do it, and its warming up you can get the bike out again to kill some cravings you may have
Well done for even trying .Like Fez I have never touched the stinking things but there is always respect for the likes of you who really want to give up .The motivation besides not stinking of fags and bad health must also be the cost but that apart I bet it would not take to long to save up for some goodies like rear sets and that will be a massive motivation .Keep up with it and use everything that is available to help you its never ever been easier .
Well I thought I'd update you all on this. It was a week ago today that I posted this thread and within 20 minutes of doing so I caved. I couldn't hack it and walked round to the shop, bought myself some tabs and smoked them. On the same night though a friend suggested that I read Allen Carr's Easy Way to quit smoking. One of the members on here sent me it in PDF form but I had a clearout of my messages and accidentally deleted it so never read it but I bought it at the start of this week and started reading it. You're supposed to smoke all the way through reading it but by Wednesday night I'd scrunched up my box of snouts, thrown them in the bin and here I am a week after my capitulation and I wouldn't smoke one now if you paid me £100 to do so. And best of all I know that I'm done with it. No doubt in my mind. Finito! So if you're still smoking and want to get rid then I suggest that you buy yourself a copy because it's looking like it could well be the most important £6.99 I will ever spend.
i used the same method.just remember to never give that book away.i have read it about 10 times just as a support well done keep it up
It was you!!! I couldn't remember for the life of me who'd sent it! Cheers, mate. Thank you for being one of the ones who pointed me in the right direction.
