In a word yes. This happens unfortunately to lots of road users and the idiot on their mobile phone gets away with it. Doesn't make head line news unless its a police/governing official involved. Still doesn't take awy the fact she's in the wrong though!
I expect our police force to set a good example.... But this is not about police bashing,i have a lot of respect for them. This is about the CPS aka "Couldn't Prosecute Shit".....
Well said. And she was not in the police force she was a volunteer that passed a very low standard of training most specials are pants. I wonder what her other job is, factory worker, teacher maybe but you don't see them mentioning that. One thing she was not is a police officer !!!
Good points, tbh I am guilty of jumping the gun a little but she has a standard to live up too and for that reason she should be booted at least! Im not anti Police at all and think anyone on a bloody phone should get the book thrown at them!
Don't get me wrong I'm disgusted at what she's done but the emphasis on her being a "police officer" is wrong she's not one!
Signed, can't see why cps would not prosecute, they seem to be hung up on the fact that because the phone was on her knee on loudspeaker it's not driving without due care and attention.
Just signed. This type of thing disgusts me. It's nothing to do with whether she's a copper or not - though the fact that she has apparently handed out 5 tickets to people for using their mobiles whilst driving does rub salt into the wounds - but the fact that there seems to be one law for one etc etc...
