Finally after 6 weeks of waiting the front PVM wheel arrived.
Of course the day it arrived my girlfriend had taken my van so it was out with the trusty YBR 125 down to the post office to pick it up HAHA

Fitted the Moto-Master by Ten Kate discs, they weight a ton. They are the maximum allowed thickness so hopefully they work :) but not impressed by the weight of them, sure need a light weight wheel to balance it out a bit :p

I noticed on each disc packet it it showed Front LEFT and Front RIGHT disc. I can't see any difference at all on the discs and there isn't even any markings at all on the disc to tell you what side it is for. Anyone have any idea what the difference if any could be?

so to answer to 2 of yoour questions

1st to remove the carbon covers from the engine sides you will need a very strong heat gun ...i also would suggsest for fastes resolt to let the bike war up ta around 90c so its already heated from inside ....try to over heat it and remove it ....dont expect is gona be easy also dont expect that you will clear the rest of the glue easy is gona be super pain in the ass ...

2nd all the brake disc have rotation if you see they arms (the mid of the disck) has a curten rotation look but thats also works for all the brake disc they are ment to be braking only on one side ;)

now what i want to ask is ....what the hell is going on with your radiator cap ? why they remove it and putit where is now and they put a hose in his old position ? what sorrcery is this?

Thanks for the answers, I had already got the carbon fibre covers off as you can see now the GB racing ones are fitted and for sure the discs have no rotation markings on them at all.

If you are referring to the bike on page two thats castrol craigs 2007 cbr1000 not the same model as mine but as far as I know my radiator cap is in its standard place.

Unfortunately in Norway its still -10 to - 15 degrees most days so haven't touched the van but the weather is picking up rightly now so the van will be getting some serious attention

Did the compression test last night.
Manual says compression should be 174psi and the great news is that I was getting between that and 180 on all cylinders so I'm happy again. Can't see any oil on new plugs so going to run the bike at the next track day and see how it looks after that.

Need a steering damper and PowerCommander. Any recommendations on a steering damper??

i've used GPRv4 rotary dampers for yrs and never had any issues, can clutter up the headstock a bit thats the only problem, but still find them better+safer than the under yoke styles.

but if thats what you want theres loads out there but cant go wrong with ohlins (obviously)

I've been quite lazy recently at updating this with whats been going on with my bike.

I seem to have spent a lot of time on the bike but for no really big changes

First thing since the last update I gave was a I got new slicks fitted to my new PVM wheels and wets fitted to the standard wheels
I fitted new chain and sprockets

    Fitted a power commander

In Norway we have to fill our tanks with something called explosafe you can get it in two forms. A foam that goes into your tank or small aluminium type balls that go into the tank. The idea is it stops your fuel exploding if the tank ruptures. I chose to go for the aluminium type because I had heard some horror storries of the foam type starting to break apart after a while and getting suckt into cylinders etc. I had to remove the fuel level sensor from the fuel pump because on some bikes you can cause something to short if you have exposed metal up against all this aluminium.

    Next I painted my fairings

    Fitted my fairings

    Took it for a spin

    Did this :(

I got my suspension feeling as I wanted but unfortunately it was destroying my tyre. I think the shock needs a good service, probably been a while since its been serviced so Ill be removing that tonight and sending it ASAP
