Anybody know which map to download and install in to my Powercomander V on CBR 1000 rr 2008? I just instaled new Leo vince gp pro and tryed to get the maps from powercomander.com but there is only 4 options for leo vince. option number one: leo vince full exhaust. option two: leo vince slip on, sound insert and stock filter option three:european leo vince, stock filter, Dynojet O2 eliminator fitted option four: european leo vince with baffle, stock filter,Dynojet O2 eliminator fitted now my bike is stock filter and leo vince with baffle but no O2 eliminator was needed as there is Lambda senso hole on it so I instaled it in leo vince from stock exhaust. And I do have O2 eliminator ordered fro dynojet but what is the point to install it if than leo has hole for lambda sensor anyway? Can anyone try to explain to me if it would be beter to put O2 eliminator in and take lambda sensor out too. And if there is place to get right map for my bike. Thanks
first of all you want to download option 2 now as that is correct for your current setup. second, if you are running with the stock lamba sensor in place and no o2 eliminator then the pcv does not have full control of the fueling at low revs as the honda system takes over, once you fit the o2 eliminator the pcv will then gain full control of the fueling across the entire rev range and give you more power/torque, noticebly low down. simples oh and then change the map to option 4 and then use option 5 and get a custom map
this is why I got the loan of a map until I get a custom one done plus the Gp pro is a lot different from the other leo vince cans which is why when using the downloaded map my can was spitting flames constantly. this was the map I used if you want to have a look at it. its gp pro baffle out an K&N blade map.pvm
AFAIK those maps on the DJ website are for the normal shaped LV cans, not the GP Pro shape. Might still work ok I suppose though?
thats why I borrowed a map, I used the ones on the DJ site and mine flamed like a champ.every rev ended with a pop then some blue flames
I've got a couple of maps for the LV GP Pro - first one was written by a guy in the States and makes the bike run very smoothly compaired to the stock PCV maps. I ran with map for a while and was quite pleased with it - however, I had a custom map done by RJS Superbikes at Mallory Park. Still very smooth almost like a turbine but quicker on the throttle. There is still a small blip in the mapping 3500 - 4000 revs when rolling off the throttle but no where as bad as a stock bike. Fuel consumption is still excellent. If you want to try let me know. I should mention both are written for the larger of the two baffles fitted.
