Took my blade out for a run yesterday it's an RR8
I've got a akrapovic slip on fitted and a PCV I've
download the appropriate map but bike isn't running at its best
Powering through the gears it's brilliant but closing the throttle
And opening her up again the bike coughs and sputters as though fueling
    Isn't wright
Would a custom map sort this or is this normal on a fuel injected
    Bike
I've never had the bike standard as it was brought with the akrapovic
Already on and I fitted the PCV within a couple of weeks of buying

If you have lifted the tank recently you might have pulled off a vacuum hose that would cause those problems. Its easily done due to the tight working clearence in the engine well.

Not normal on a fuel injected system. It *should* give more accurate fueling for the engine state than carbs. Of course, as all computer systems, its only as good as the information it gets. Check the basics first (so if you have just fitted it check the connections/hoses etc in the areas you have been working in) before looking further. You can get maps to match your system reasonably closely from their website (sorry I dont have the link to hand) which will also help. It wont get it as good as a good tuner and a dyno though as they can get it dialled in accurately for your bike.

Has the pcv got the latest firmware?? Mine was doing the same before it went in to Motrac, Steve updated the firmware and all was good.

If its a PCV, upload the zero map in addition to the custom map & fit a map switch; comes in handy when you suspect something is wrong.

It's a good call to check the hoses as they can be stretched easily when lifting the tank. Sounds like something loose to me or you might be having more problems when throttling etc

All the best with it ;)

Tank again to fit a K&N to make sure I haven't disconnected anything

My gsxr came fitted with a pcv and was running like a dog,the previous owner had totally fitted it wrong and was spluttering coming off throttle as you have described, took mine in too a dyno and had it properly set up,felt like a new bike after and much smoother coming off throttle.

Since you have already lifted the tank then its a strong possiblity one of the hoses on the 5 way adaptor has come off. Buying used PC or alarms is risky if the previous owner had an off these units have been known to malfunction unbeknown to the seller as the electronics are not shock proof
