good on you! think i,d be on a real downer, pity i cant make it as would be good to meet up. been lucky getting out fri/sat and too much family stuff to do before flying back south on monday. its a great cause to raise money for. i was at the first run where they parked in the road into rachel house. too many on run now. hope its a great turnout tomorrow.
I was 'Captain gaffer tape' for 6 months and over 5,000 miles - did it impact how the bike rode, No Did I have the rib taken at various times -Yes, but I just rode and enjoyed it. While the above was going on I was keeping a close eye on ebay and over time I managed to get 'almost mint' Left and Right fairings, tank cover, tail unit and under tray for about £175 (original parts) My bike now looks like its done 6,000 miles not 60,000 and everything fits fine Mine was also self inflicted so can well relate to the blue steam / anger etc. but you are OK, and the Kids at the Hozzy will benefit
Hi mate, I've emailed Stu at Cox Honda so hopefully he can do a good price! Honda said nose cone £264, tail piece £160 and £93 for the mirror! It will be ept if Cox can help coz I feel a right Cock
He's put his mobile number on there and said to text at a reasonable hour as he wasn't getting back quick enough by email. I had a reply to my last text within mins. Hope you get it sorted
Gutted for you mate, may have missed it somewhere but what year is yours? As Dave said, Jimbo' got a mirror for a 2010. From memory, just one so what side you after? His nose cone did survive, the nose is what took the majority of the impact.
As said Trev! Totally gutted for you mate.... Also as mentioned I have a few bits, a tail peice but it has some marks where the genuine seat cowell rubbed and a mirror, but can't remember what side. What side you looking for? Ill try and post some pics up, pm me if your interested...
Like Alblade said " I was 'Captain gaffer tape' for 6 months and over 5,000 miles - did it impact how the bike rode, No " First time out on my new Aprilia Mille A Few years ago I was putting it back in the garage after the ride and when I cleaned it I was pushing it into the garage and forgot to put the side stand up and it dug into the floor at the garage enterance and pushed away from me and fell against my trailer breaking the mirror, denting the tank and cracking the side fairing. I still continued to ride it and sourced the spares over a few weeks. Big respect to you for raising the dosh for the Hospice. I love seeing the looks on the kids faces when dozens of hairy arsed bikers turn up with eggs for them! I,m sure you'll get your just desserts
Hey Guys, I want to say a great big thanks to you all for you warm hearted support! This is an amazing forum and it's you guys that make it that way! Thanks again Trev
Sorry to hear about your mishap mate. Sounds like its a well worn path what with everyone already knowing what to do. Which run was it you did? (I am assuming you still went, gaffered up). Fingers crossed that you can get it sorted sharpish and at least you had the good karma of helping the kids out.
Hi Derick it was the Easter Egg Run for C.H.A.S. Rachel House Children Hospice, Kinross, there was an amazing turn out 3 or 4 hundred bikes! Yeah I had her gaffered up she didn't look to bad tho but I've been in touch with Stu from Cox Honda hopefully he can sort me the nose cone Trev
I was at the sister run to Robin House in Balloch. Didn't remember seeing a gaffered up one, so thought I'd check I wasn't going blind. Sounds like yours had a bigger turn out than ours. We had maybe 100 bikes. Still a good cause and a large donation overall. By all accounts he will
As pm Trev - forgot to mention that the marks from the seat cover are slightly visible with the pillion seat on but not the cover. Up to you mate, it ain't perfect....
Hi Jimbo I tried to PM you but you inbox is full mate! Sorry to hear of your mishap mate! But don't worry about me Jimdo I'll just touch mine up dude Gutted for you mate! I hope you get it sorted soon mate! What are we like they eh? It's a pity they didn't build rubber Blade would save us a fortune
dropped mine with 2 miles on clock, know how you feel. Have a look at the R&G carbon sliders. They cover a multitude of scratches. Might save you buying the tail plastic section Cheers
Hey pal, sorry. Cleared my inbox. I didn't drop the bike... I dropped the tail piece whilst loading the blade and trod on it. Broke the corner of it off... Nightmare all the same!! Sorry again mate, but sums up my week so far...
