    1) Bit of advice please fellas/ladies i can get the following for £750 from my local bike shop or i can get it online from FC .Moto for £668, quite a saving :) however, bit of digging finds a lot of complaints and unhappy customers with FC Moto, do i pay the premium for local or take the risk of mail order ?

    2) I have a black blade, would you go for the leathers in the black/white colours or just plain old black ? how hard is bug splatter to remove from white leather?

also whilst i'm here i have a black seat cowl for a 2011 cbr 600f, i advertised it on ebay but i don't think it was reaching it's target market, could anyone recommend a decent website to put it up for sale on please, thanks in advance

Have you tried these on yet? I spent a day finding my leathers, went to about 7 shops and tried on loads of different brands. I found that the cut and fit varied drastically between brands so would certainly not mail order these without trying them on first as body types/shapes vary so much.

Black is a good option, and it you're worried about bug splatter, I've always found a hoodie over the top of your leathers saves them from that plight and is much more easily washable...

Man, I could never answer that question, it's all down to personal preference!! I have a black & white bike, black leathers & black & white lid. Don't care if anyone else thinks it's OTT, I love it!!!

The real question is, what do you like the look of? I normally just take inspiration from other bikes/bikers I see, and if I like the look, then I make my own version of it.

TBH I have never had any dianese kit, I have short legs so find Wolf fit me very well and their kit is excellent value, I have a kangaroo set at the moment and its the comfiest set of leathers I have ever had and I tried spyke, alpinestars, arlen ness etc.

I did just buy a alpinestars goretex jacket from J and S in Bristol and they had some quality leathers at good prices, they could be worth a look if your nearby :)

Local dealer. If you have a problem you can poke a real person in the eye rather than protracted email ping pong.

Try and negotiate the price, I brought my Alpinestar GP one piece from Wheels in Peterborough and managed to get over hundred quid lopped off, that was the best they could offer money wise but they also chucked in a back protector and offered a great discount on a new pair of boots.

As for colour, I have a black blade, black leathers with white logos and a plain white helmet. I think it looks ok but its all subjective. I tried on many suits in various colours and all got the poo poo look from Ling, then a nod of approval, don't know if she liked it or just got bored, either way I am happy with them and they fit a treat.

    Good luck.
