freedom, i done the exact same thing!! i spent an hour playing around, turing my iphone upside down and turning onto video cam so i could see the offending item.. the bottom of the tray is slotted to prevent water building up, so instead of trying to retrieve the bolt, try pushing it through like i did... bike was back on road within 90mins :) hop this helps.

    Too much OCD here!

Leave it be and fit a new one, the original will stay put or just fall out, either way it's no myther.

In these cases frustration can take hold and you'll just end up braking a tab off a body panel or scratching one.

What a difference a dealer makes.
I called in at Kestrel Honda near my Midlands Office in Coventry yesterday to buy a new battery bolt and without hardly making eye contact I was told ' No mate, we don't have any, can order you one,£1.60 plus VAT' to which I politely asked ' Is the no chance you might have one in your workshop or maybe whip one off one of the new blades which I will pay for and you replace it when the ordered one comes in' Again without eye contact ' can't do that mate' So my curt reply was ' thanks for your time I will leave it.

Popped into Honda at Chiswick this morning and they could not be more helpful, fetched me one from the workshop and gave it to me without charge, and free cup of coffee to boot.

So if I was buying a new Honda who do you think I get a shot at the business, I can tell you it won't be Kestrel.

    Well done Honda Chiswick.

It doesn't cost a limb to be helpful, and that kind of helpful assistance goes a long way.
Lets hope Mr Jobs Worth remembers all those times he helped people out, when the shutters come down behind him for the last time, as he's off looking for somewhere else to be helpful and courteous.

Nice to see that kind of service. It sometimes seems like customer service is a forgotten art in the UK. Well done, Honda Chiswick.

I'd be emailing Kestrel's MD this link.

Doubt any Dealer would want their Flagship models No' 1 UK Forum bad mouthing them due to one employees attitude.

Could well lead to him getting a written warning.

You can them pop back in a couple of weeks and go Nah Nah Nah Nah, Nah at him! :p
