Sorry new here.., been lurking for a while but would like to thank callum for his write up as managed to get in with steve at short notice after his recommendation yesterday for a setup and dyno remap as was having similar issues to you. All i can say is awesome:D its prompted me to register and join the banter

The bike now rides so planted and the fueling is very smooth now unlike before as it was a bit snatchy at low revs.

I was able to watch the last run and to be honest i would not of wanted to stand in there for 3 hours as was quite smelly and very loud even with ear things on. he explained that he doesnt mind people watching but their insurance company might get a little exzcited about non staff being in the workshop which is fair enough and that they would put a viewing window in but thats right next to a work bench and they dont want the mechanics being disrupted during work as its important they concentrate..fair enough again, i know id not like someone watching me when i work but then i only do boring pen pushing!.

Steve took time to explain how the mapping worked and the maps are written and showed me a few bits on the dyno but it all kind of went over my head after five mins lol. I wouldnt hesitate trusting him at all seems a very nice guy. he also explained the suspension and it not being just a case of winding a few bits here and there. he gave me some track settings and showed me what i need to do when i take her onto the track in a few weeks.

btw the girl in the shop is steves wife i think..very knowledgable and makes a decent cuppa.:p

image.jpg I wouldn't recommend them. They set my suspension up far too hard and having quoted 2-3 hours to fit bar risers and brake lines, they charge me 5 hours......then when I returned the bike so they could adjust the bars to the way I'd asked in the first place, they wanted more money.....the final straw was a leaking banjo which required me to return the bike again, so they could bleed the brakes and replace a damaged washer.....

The only reason I went in the first place was because I bought my bike in October and I didn't fancy riding the first 600 miles of a new bike to visit the guy who normally sets up my suspension.

I would highly recommend John Sanderson at Alpha Suspension in Morley, Leeds. Top man.

Also, on Arthur's recommendation, I visited Dynotech in Tadley yesterday to have a power commander fitted.
Having fitted a Bos exhaust, the bike was a bit lumpy. Now it's smooth as......Top guys. image.jpg

    That's odd ....?
After I had my suspension set up they said I could come back anytime to have it tweaked (no charge)

It was to adjust the bar risers, not the suspension....
