Ahh... No it doesn't... At least not on mine. I have a 20th Anniversary blade. Manual says litres... And unless reserve kicks in at > 9 litres left, it counts in litres (Resolution of 0.1l) not gallons... Cause I used > 2.0 last week...
On a ride-out (think thrash) in West Wales, late on a summer evening (as is my wont), every-where's shut. 20 miles from the end of the M4 and 24hour gas. The reserve lights been on for a while. Take it from me,the sight of any sort of bus could soon be the answer to a prayer.
You are be right. I think that is what made me panic the first time I went onto reserve, I thought it was using fuel hand over fist but it was counting in litres. I stand corrected. Once again read the (boring) manual Kevin. der
Don't be hard on yourself, all blokes only RTFM once they have completely fooked something up or broken something and are left with no other options, it's in our genes to act like this.
Fuel Levels..... Glad its not just me who thinks the manual is boring reading!! I cant understand for the life of me this fuel level stuff. I loved my SP1/2 dash, which when you got to reserve a fuel light came on, then when you were really in shit street it used to flash. Keep it simple stupid.
Mmmmm best I read the manual for my 07. I know there is a fuel light but no idea if it starts flashing or stuff. Put just over 14 litre in last time when it came on.
Nope just stays on and you need to remember how many miles were on the clock when it come on, on my RR6 in normal riding it would go 40+miles on reserve light.
This miles per litre isnt that new, maybe to Honda but my old 2007 Hayabusa had the same. And multiplying by 4.5 aint that hard.!!
