Hi all, I've been considering the idea of removing the cat from the stock exhaust system on my 2012 blade; keeping the standard look but in the hope of some increased performance. I am, however, aiming to buy a second hand exhaust to make these changes to, rather than potentially ruining my own one. Where is the cat exactly? Is it integral to the stock backbox? Would it be worth doing for added noise and performance benefits, and has anyone done this before? Sam
Drop me a pm mate, how much are you looking for for it? Is it the same silencer as the 2012? They look identical, so I can only assume so

Excellent info guys! I think i have enough to go on now to do it myself. Just need to find a metalwork fabricator
"Just need to find a metalwork fabricator" that's what I do in my garage. I make silencers, linkpipes and collectors.
Nice on Auther. This cut away of the exhaust should help me loads with the prob ive got. Apparently that weird setup valve inside can stick and cause loads a grief. Prob, how to get at it!!?? . Lol
I did this to mine. Gutted everything - cat, valve and plate that it sits on plus various bit of pipe from inside the exhaust. Made it into one big chamber. It's great, really pleased with it and sounds good too Here's the cut lines: Here's a picture of it with the rear cut open and my mate attacking it with a plasma cutter
