    Getting Tyres Changed

Have the tyre shops gone mad!?

Called up 2 places asking how much they would charge to change the tyres on the bike – if I took the bike and new tyres to them..

    £25 each!

is that just a rip off...?

We charge £25 as well. If you get the tyres from us and bring loose wheels the fitting is free.

50 quid is maybe slightly high, but not overly so (imo)

will take them around an hour to remove wheels, tyres, fit new tyres, balance, fit wheels.

much cheaper taking loose wheels,or doing it yourself.

they will usually fit them for free if you buy them from them, especially to loose wheels, might stick a few quid on if they have to remove the wheels etc..

Bike tyres of Leeds £110 for Bridgestone bt016 pro fitted, this was to a loose wheel mind.i phoned castle motorcycle Twice for a quote for a tire and fitting to loose wheel, both times I was told, were too busy we will call u back later,of course they never did.Went on Internet and found the above, glad I did.it took ten minuets to fit and balanced using black weights to match the wheel colour.i like to fit my own wheels back on.nobody but me touches the bike at 170+ I know it's right.
