So looking to change my lid in a month or so. Definetly going to be an arai as I find they fit me the best, I found one I like at just under £400 , I would like an rx7 but just too pricey, so what's the difference apart from the price! Is it more likely to save my head in a crash or just lighter with superior shell and padding?
Weight and GP sponsorship. Both with give you the same amount of protection. I currently have an RX7 but the Corsair( also have a Astro R) and found it noisier.
I'm quickly falling out of love with Arai. Always had Shoei but I've been wearing RX7 for the last 8 years or so. Late last year I bought a Takihashi replica and I've lost a side pod already. I've had to replace pods before but generally only when I've been rough when removing them. These haven't even been off. Dealer can't find a replacement to match anywhere and on back order with Arai. The overall experience of wearing this new Arai just not cutting it at the mo and I'm thinking of changing already. Never ever had to replace anything on a Shoei!
ive just got a hjc spies, always had an arai, its quieter ,more comfortable and lighter than any helmet ive ever had, i used to always buy shark in the beginning, also had a couple of shoeis too, you cant go wrong with a top of the range hjc, the best helmet ive ever owned
The Arai RX7 GP is really light and in my opinion one of the coolest (as in air flow) Ive ever had! Great for those warm rides, As for Side Pods Ive never had a problem with any of the models Ive owned. If you do have any problems just drop in on a Arai DNA service truck and they service the whole lid FREE!
