Off to try a s1000rr tommorow not the HP4 but a 2013 graphite grey with Akro at local Motorad dealer will report on my findings
2100 miles in 2 months is good going, would love to try the active suspension. The s1000rr was on my list when looking
love to try the active suspension too. You've got to wonder tho; who buys one, does 2000miles, then wants to flog it. why?
Ownership brag. Never had the money to buy one in the first place, borrowed heavily & then realised he fucked it or alternatively, sadly dawned on him he had a £20k bike he could use to 30% of its capabilities on British roads without risking a custodial. Active suspension is useless on track for most mortals 95% of the time as most tracks are nice smooth environments leaving the suspension with not a lot of adjusting to do!!!
Must be nice to wave that majic wand and once and for all get rid of the vagaries of the Black Art of suspension setting tho.
Really don't like it tbh (flame me)... Sooner have the paniR, factory aprilia or the mvf4r. Yes yes, I'm sure the bm is a better bike, but think it just looks soooo tacky! The standard rr in motorad colours looks far classier IMO
The seller must have sacked the gardener to afford the bike but now grass is growing untidy so.......
Saw a plain black one in Inverurie last year, looks like a maccano set, bloody awful. ( did i spell maccano correctly ? )
Mecanno..... And they are awesome bikes. Build quality is right up there. The 2012 onwards is head and shoulders better than the peaky earlier model. It's just too much for the road and the electronics package on the standard bike is shockingly bad.
Well took it on my local weekend route! Very quick and totally planted at speed even had a play with a Ferrari!! No discount at all over 14k non HP. Better than the Blade yes by far worth the 7k too change NO. Maybe next year....!!!
Plus there's always the HP4 existing factor over the standard bike. Having ridden an HP4 I'd never consider the standard bike ever again and you're wrong, its no better than the Blade. In fact, Blade handles much better than the stock S1R.
It felt so sure footed at speed compared to my Blade. Didn't feel much faster but it's quieter than my Blade with exhaust etc. The HM shifter on my Blade is better than the S1R.. But the BMW felt so much tighter and responsive when I chucked it about. Regardless, won't be buying one anytime soon.
I loved my Blade...........but I love my beemer more! MOz Unless you have played with the suspension settings, they are set up for my weight and style, so if you have it sorted for you, it will be even better! The beemer handles easily as well as the blade btw, probably a lot better when properly set up!
