My bike is exactly the same colours as yours, so its the blue cowl that I have ordered... (I like the look of your hugger too, may have to consider one of those!) I have fitted cowls to all of my previous bikes and usually have to fit some rubber somewhere to stop it rubbing.
Yeah so you know the score then.just what you do with All parts Chinese or not, check the fitting. The hugger on mine is the honda one, last owner had Fitted it, recipt was for 150 if I remember right.
I am just having a search of the interweb now to see if I can find any!! May even consider a black or carbon look one... oh the choices!!!
That's nice Paul. Is that the way it turned up or did you have it painted yourself? What's the official name of the blue? BTW, I've had a cowl 'fly' off a bike never to be found. When I replaced it I wrote, with an indelible marker, a contact number on the under-side of the new one along with a promise of a reward to the finder. Even if it got returned crushed, at least I would know what had happened to it. If you have a cowl, or anything else for that matter, that you might lose, keys etc, tag 'em with your mobile number. You won't regret it. 99% of folk are honest and will call to return stuff if they have a number.
Cheers Nicko, TBH it's my own work and it came from China in red, I thought i'd chance it coz I got in my head I wanted red... its looked shocking and the quality was awful. So I sanded it down and basically mucked about with halfolds cans. The white is a metallic white on white prima, the red is trim tape and the blue/black which is the difficult one ended up being - Grey prima, satin black, nissan metallic blue, laquer. The metallic blue was far too blue without the satin black, must admit the colour match is spot on, even with the sun out on the metallic it's perfect! more luck than judgement! If anyones interested I'll post up the exact colour when I get home. It's by no means a perfect job... hence the Jardine sticker, I have a mate in a body shop so the plan is to get another one and have it done properly when I was happy I knew what I actually wanted.
OK A white one it is but with these transfers 11+12 (Part no's PFKL2034294, PFKL2034297) to break up the white and match the rest of the bike. Mmmmm, sweet.
My standard seat blow off at 140 I went back for it an some twat an 4x4 ran rite over her:banghead: must not clipped it in rite so need new back seat if any going
Well it arrived today and I have to say the colour is absolutely spot on. I have fitted it to the bike and the fit also is spot on and feels a more secure fit than the pillion seat, there's no way I can see it coming off! I will post a couple of pics next time the bike comes out the garage!! I would definately recommend others to buy one, at £19.99 you can't go wrong
There's a genuine Honda one for sale in the for sale section in white ... I'm guessing its the same white? £100 plus p&p
Thanks for the 'heads-up' mate. I think it's a different 'white' to my '11 HRC bike. Good news is though; I bought the 'GEL' seat the guy was selling so..... RESULT! Nice one, Cheers.
Fitted a new black one to mine last week, lot of money for what it is, but does look good. You get rubber bits to make it sit properly and paint protection strip so keep in mind 2nd hand you'll have to bodge some bits of rubber etc to stop it rattling.
