Me and Tristram (soonbedead) went to Brands last night on a taster session.It was a tenner each (£20 BOGOF) with msvt.They are doing one at Cadwell on the 3rd June.PM me and I will give you the discount code Both of us have never been on a track before so everything was new to us.Signing on, noise test, briefing then out you go. 2 sighting laps then the instructor spreads you out.One of the riders on a 900 fireblade 1st lap stacked it but luckily him and his bike were in the gravel away from any danger. We got up to speed but there was alot of nervous upright riders on all walks of bikes.There was also two fast trackday boys in there too.Both over took me no-one else did but the slower one I caught back up and had a play with him until it was time to come in. Overall it was a great experience we both enjoyed it.For a tenner it was a bargain.Would I do a trackday? Damn right I would
Hi Sideways, Cadwell is a fantastic track, you'll love it. Watch Hall bends if its wet!!! Short shift from 2nd-3rd between the hairpin and Barn you'll get a great drive onto the start finish straight. Did Snetterton 300 on the 7th May, just brilliant. Track temp was 35degs. Do you need to prep the bike before you go? ie tape headlights/mirrors and lock wire sump plugs? Also... Did you ride there or trailer your bike?
Rode there with no preparation.Just fold your mirrors in.Noise test has to be done.Baffles in 95 decibels on ackro 2010.Rr6 full race ackro 95 db baffles in too.With it out just on limit 102db.Well worth doing even at £20.
Track day at Brand Hatch next Wednesday. Hi Sideways, I trailer my track bike (600rr) and share it with my mate DeeGee (675) Riding to the track is ok but if the unfortunate happens then you stuffed. Car and Bike Track Days with MotorSport Vision None at Silverstone with msvt. Tracks they do are Brands Hatch, Oulton park,Cadwell park, Snetterton and Bedford autodrome. Cadwell 3rd June is the only other taster session on the flyer I've got.See website for other sessions
