yes they swap straight over, although fairings might need slight mods making on the brackets (and maybe rad)

all the hardware is a straight swap,it's just the fairings mainly that might need a little fettle.

don't suppose you know to a thread or info on swapping frames or am i better off buying the manual, searched the net but can't seem to find much info. Is there anything else i should think of doing while its all apart (service, brakes, etc), also want a silver frame but the frame i'm buying is black so wondering whether to spray it or can i have it polished, sorry for all the questions but i havn't been into bikes long (2 months) and have caught the bug and want to learn everything i can as i had a quote of £750 to do the work but would rather have a go at it myself:)

well changing the frame is as big a job as you'll get.basically everything, and i mean everything comes off (obviously).

750 aint to bad a price considerin the time it'll take, but if you do it yourself then you'll at least know your bike inside out.

would take me best part of a day to strip, and another to re build barring no issues.

only special tool's you'll need, apart from the usuall torque wrench are a couple of castelated sockets to remove the rear engine mount shafts, and to remove the swingarm shaft, but you can always make these from standard sockets, but they have to be spot on.

colour wise,if you want it silver, get it dipped+polished, dont paint it,it'll just rub off.

Yeah changed a couple of frames in my time but all frames are painted black so stripping is easy enough ImageUploadedByTapatalk1371320600.518825.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1371320622.085424.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1371320644.002224.jpg

thanks for advice and pics guys, what a pig of a job!!, iv'e been at it all day and nearly have it stripped. I made a small castle socket for the nut which clamps the back of the frame to the engine nearest the swingarm and came off ok but the bolt iv'e snapped the two small aluminium prongs, is there any way of undoing the bolt?, also do i have to take the airbox and other black plastic bits of the top of the engine as it looks like the frame might just slide over it but i won't know untill iv'e sorted the bolt out, thanks again for your advice and tips, very appreciated:)

lol i knew you'd snap the tabs, broke a few in my time....

you might aswell take the airbox off as it's easier to disconnect the throttle cables.

as for loosening the engine bolt you can either try to get an adjustable or plumbers wrench ont he thick end avoiding the threads and turn it to loosen, doesn't need a lot,or make sure you have a tyre/cushion under the engine, remove all other fixing bolts and push the engine through, takes a bit of force but can be done, not the best way mind.

oh snd you can get the bolts with the tabs on them from a honda dealer, think they are about 10quid each.will dig out the part number later if you want.
