    Hedge your bets.
    Piston heads,
    Ebay Classifieds,
    Bike Trader (Autotrader),
Many local dealers will sell for a spiv,

    And obviously this forum.
In fact the great thing about advertising on websites is "Copy & Paste" :D

Have mine on ebay at the moment (Street TripleR) as a classified advert. Been running just over two weeks - have had 790 views & 19 watchers so far but no one has yet contacted me. The price is spot on for a private sale but no bargain either. I have also used a couple of free specialist Triumph sites. I decided not to drop the price as I have been given a very good p/ex deal for a new 2012 blade. So I wouldn't dismiss getting a p/ex value if buying a blade from a dealer. Difficult one. As Muffking said try a few.

My Blade is on eBay at the moment as a classified. Been a few days, one part ex offer for a bike I don't really want, a few watchers and plenty of views but nothing yet. The bike price is high (as it includes loads of extras) which I am concerned might put people off but I'll stick with it. I have added the make an offer option. I have a mate of a mate who might want my bike but is not in a position yet to sort a deal and getting a day where we are both free is a bit of a nightmare.

I'm not sure eBay is the best option in hindsight (although it is cheap). Maybe MCN classifieds is the way forward.....

I think we just might be suffering with trying to sell old versions of our bikes AA.

I personally regard Fleabay as a place where peeps feel they have more chance of passing off a 'wrong-un' than anywhere else so thus avoid for things like vehicle purchases.

BikeTrader is where I looked when selecting my Blade and eventually bought a new one from a Dealer advertising on there.

My local Dealer winged when I took it in for it's first service that I didn't get it from them but I replied when I cold called you via phone about a price you just quoted me list and you don't even advertise on Biketrader for new bikes.

The other dealer did (albeit 100 miles away) and they got my business including free delivery.

Maybe. But both bikes are minters & we are not keen to just give them away. I also think people buying on ebay are looking for bargain's. I have 19 watchers for mine, which tells me they are watching to see if I reduce price.

Another thing with ebay watchers, is that often a proportion of them are sellers with a similar item, just looking to see what yours goes for.

eBay classified are just like Biketrader, MCN, Pistonheads etc etc. I can understand straight auctions not being great for vehicle sales but not a straight classified ad with a fixed price. eBay classifieds are £14.99 with 12 photos which makes them fairly good value.

Classifieds are the best way and to be honest who's gets more people viewing than ebay

Forget auctions and buy it nows, waste of time and money
