Had a run up through Tintwistle, stopped at a roadside café for a brew and a bacon egg and spam bap (don't ask about the spam as a mate got the bap and brew, biggest slice of spam I have ever seen, lol ) ,on to Sheffield, Chesterfield (clay cross for a brew). Matlock, Buxton then down the cat & Fiddle to home, around 120 miles. Cool first thing at Tintwistle but warmed up a bit later. Good to be out but to much traffic about. (Sunday drivers ).... Kipper
Took my mate to our local bikers cafe for breakfast (in a manly way ahem). Anyway only two other people are there, one an instructor and the other his student. My mate starts nattering away to them both and then I notice the bloke doing his CBT is none other than Steve McLaren (ex England manager). My big dopey mate after five minutes of chatting says to Steve "do I know you coz you look familiar, have you ever been in prison". It took four hours before I stopped laughing.....
He's got a point though, could have been done for impersonating a manager, obtaining financial benefit by deception. Oh, and crimes against the English language as well, for sure.
Finally some days off, although I spent most of it asleep having finished at 5am this morning. Went for a drink in a pub garden with the better half this evening
Well done I remember doing my exam in a freezing (literally) November. It was good fun though and all very worthwhile.
This wasn't today (it was actually a while ago) but that's probably a good thing as I am going to have to be very careful about what I say and avoid specifics! A while ago my colleagues and I executed a drugs warrant for an address where the male living there was suspected of dealing drugs. After letting ourselves in we had an excellent result. Not only were drugs recovered and other items of naughtiness (no, I don't mean a top shelf magazine) - but there was another result that made me very happy, being a biker. In this male's lock-up at the address was a couple of years old Yamaha R1, which later turned out to be a stolen motorcycle. After the forensics lot had done their business, I was a very happy chap when I wheeled it out, waiting for it to be recovered. Bless my colleagues, they also said that I should get the privilege being a motorcyclist myself. Hopefully, some biker, somewhere, will be seeing their beloved again
Cheers Sossige My examiner was from the MET and was a really nice guy. He saw I was wired on coffee/nerves (+not much sleep) and blethered a way until I was a bit more settled He gave me the choice of knowing the result before or after the debrief I chose after and the one section I though I messed up he said I did alright, so I kinda new then that I'd passed
