yeah well I was under the impression it was necessary to get decent fuelling. Maybe not. Anyway I fitted the pipe but had a few dramas trying to get a decent clearance to the swingarm, but all good now. Started it up and its bloody loud but havent ridden yet as the weather is garbage ATM. I will be pissed if the PC5 wasnt needed. I got it here Dynojet Power Commander V Honda CBR1000RR 08 11 16 002 | eBay
If anyone is interested I have a spare heat shield cover for a 2012 13 bike that I'm open to offers on?
Just so you know. For a slip on can the PC5 isnt strictly needed to have it run, the problem is that you will be running a fueling map that is designed for the stock can with a cat in it. The fueling for a can without a cat and lambda (o2) sensor fitted will be different. So to sum up, it will run without the PC5 but it will run better with a map for the Yoshi (downloadable from the Dynoject website) or a custom map (a custom map will be much better) If you have a full system fitted you will definitely need a custom map. Best place to keep an eye out is on ebay. i got my PC5 with a quickshifter and Secondary fuel module (to map the upper injectors) for the price of a new pc5. you just have to keep your eyes open. Cheers Pete
I've only about 3mm clearance to swingarm, did you remove the standard gasket? i'm not using a PC so re-connected the o2 sensor, is that the right thing to do?
That's about right. There isn't masses of clearance. Keep the O2 sensor in if you aren't fitting a pcv otherwise the FI light will stay on.
I got about 10mm of clearance! Didn't use the spacer Yoshi supplied just straight on with the stock hanger bolt
You can get more clearance by spacing the footpeg bracket out a bit with a couple of washers. I dont know what they were thinking when they put the retaining screw for the db killer where they did. Drop the screw in the tailcone and you're in for a fun time. Dont ask me how I know.
Correct, I was replying to Pete post #7 of thread. Re the O2 sensor, if it is disconnected that will need the eliminator as you said or FI light will show. The connector is on the left at rear under tank.
I got tired of waiting for my 02 sensor eliminator to arrive so I made one using a 330 ohm 1/2 watt carbon resistor , you can plug it straight into the plug from the ECU when you unplug the 02 sensor, it goes between the white and black/white wires , tape it up with some electrical tape and all is good. A cheap solution.
