Been riding a bit since and now 4th gear is gone, and it sounds messy even at idle, anyone ever tackle a gearbox repair on the SC59 ? Looks like a big job, engine out, head off, pistons out, split the crankcase, crankshaft out, basically take everything imaginable off and then you're at the gearbox
I broke my gearbox the beginning of this year (also 4th) nice and easy on my model (not that I fixed it, I did supervise though) From what I have heard your model will be engine out and split !
Well ! i stayed with the chief super of the island, and he said technically its still an offence to cross them, but no one was going to police it,unless you we're being dangerous and/or doing it in front of a police car
Ok, just trying to help. But knowing it is the TT course then it if fine.......................................... by the way you were not going fast enough then
Lot of cars, didn't want to be going mad in case one of them pulled out to overtake as there's no real hard shoulder over there, nobody ever stripped down an SC59 gearbox then ?
it's a full engine out/strip job.and lets hop no other bits of metal have damaged your crank/rods/pistons etc.
