David and I have previous. It makes me very receptive to his moods. It's what makes me so perceptive...

Love it Ken, don’t know what all the fuss was about. It might have had something to do with being with my director during the day and that always saps whatever little patience I can normally muster up.

Cats have been house cats ever since I got them at 9months old, and even before that had never been out of a house.
Today, they were unleashed. Including the wee one jumping into the kids paddling pool, and jumping even higher back out.

It’s been a weekend of mixed emotions:

Excitement – Test rode a Panigale on Saturday morning, it’s very different to the blade for sure, but not in a bad way through and we shook hands on the deal.

Relief - When the first pint of San Miguel slide down putting the fire out. Jesus it was warm in London last night.

Laughter - When our friends turned up and we did a bit of catching up.

Anger – When L discovered she had had her handbag lifted by some thieving git right in front of our eyes. Six of us sitting in a circle at a table and not one of us noticed a bloody thing. I know this happens to tourists all the time but not people like us that know how the city rolls and how to take care. I have to say the staff at Henry’s wine bar Piccadilly, did a cracking job, a member of the bar staff loaned us her mobile phone to phone the local plod and make whatever other calls we had to make. The manager checked out the cctv and informed us that it was all on tape, the guy had moved around the bar then sat at a table behind us, looking at a menu which he dropped, when he picked it up he slid her bag under it and walked out, placing the menu on another table on the way. Simple as that, slick, fast and very professional. He told us he was not allowed to show us the recording but had put it onto a disc for the plod. She lost her credit cards, oyster card that she had just put fifty quid on less than an hour before, her train session ticket and id and about a hundred and fifty quid in cash. The manager said they won’t be interested in the cards, just the cash and the bag will already have been dumped. As a gesture he also knocked twenty quid of our drinks bill.

Drunkenness – We went on to a Spanish restaurant and promptly demolished nine bottles of wine between six of us and that’s on top of the drinks beforehand. The tapas were fabulous.

Hangover – Woke this morning and wondered what had happened to the monkey that had slept in my mouth! It was one of those head on the tiles shower moments.

Dehydration – Spent the day shopping whilst gulping bottles of water.

Hair of the dog – Had a long lunch in the sunshine in Covent Garden watching the world go by whilst sipping Pimms and lemonade.

Yes mate, must try a bit harder next weekend. I just wish I could have added (Un) Reasonable Force to the list, if we could have been shown the tape and then spotted the fcuker later, but then I guess it would also have included Arrest and Incarceration.

Never had a bag stolen whilst I have been around but on a serious note I think women and handbags are linked more than we think so I would imagine her loss is more than a few quid and some cards hope its not spoilt what is a mint weekend for you both.

Woke up at an ungodly hour for a Sunday, on the road at 08:15hrs over to lancs, met a couple of mates at Rivington barn, then a blat up to Hawes for what was a slightly overdone sausage sandwich, couple of brews (tea), laughed at the Santa's Slaves (sic) who all left in a big convoy heading west out of Hawes with much revving etc, and came back heading east although much more sheepishly and sedately, obviously difficult to fit a satnav or tank map bag to a hardly dangerous or rat bike. Nice run back down to Settle, spoilt only by the fool on a sprint 1050 I met on the wrong side of the road just prior to the ribblehead viaduct.

And despite it raining when I first looked out the window this morning, it was a nice dry run once I was ten miles down the road.

Went and made a start on clearing the mother in law's house this afternoon, she passed away recently, have filled two wheelie bins with out of date chocolate biscuits. Gonna need a skip!

    Yesterday.
Went for a spin to Strathaven, Muirkirk, Cumnock, New Cumnock, Sanquar, Dalveen Pass, Abington then home, with an R1 and an SP1.
Nice wee run, and nearer to first service mileage.
Even had a wasp in my helmet, which panicked me.
Couldn't stop and get that lid off quickly enough.

Did a 3 hour early run on the bike, nice empty fast roads, come back, clayed waxed and sealed the car in 4 hours, then went and did the same thing in the car in the evening, nice clear fast empty roads, treated the wife to a bottle of water and a mars bar half way round.....love has no limits it seems ;)
Got home just as the MotoGP started, nice man day.

At weekend 6 of us headed to Denbigh for a breakfast at A &D Kawasaki, first time there for me, I recommend there breakfast cheap and plenty of it. Headed towards Corwen to meet a couple of mates who took a wrong turn off the A55 on the way to Denbigh.....doh. On towards Bala then Betws-y-Coed. Then headed off home....total miles 220. Some great roads, dry and not to busy.
