When I say that I mean they dfon't lat half as long as they should. They would not be letter people out on bad tires just one's that won't last long

So does that mean it was the rider's fault, and not the tyres? Surely not!!!!

Diablo rosso corsa's, About 2500 at a push for the rear till the centre is worn, more on the front but the sides have a tendency to go 1st. Awesome tyres give loads of grip on the edge and plenty of feedback. My 12 plate came with shit dunlop qualifiers that felt awful I couldn't wait to get them off and put some decent rubber on. Metz K3's are also good but crap on mileage.

Hi, in the July 2013 issue of Performance bikes, there is a tyre test of the best sporty tyres. For the test of the Bridgestone S20 tyre they say & I quote."The OE tyres fitted to our control Fireblade are Bridgestone S20s too. However, despite having the same name and tread pattern the OE and replacement S20s are very different. The replacement S20 is made to a different spec than standard fitment tyres and it provides much better performance. If you,re lucky enough to own a new blade then try a set of replacement S20s when your OE pair have worn out-you,ll be surprised at the difference" Hope this helps.
    Cheers.

Both the blade and the CB1K have on OE tyres (dunlop and bridgestone) have been utter shite, both have lost front end grip with no warning and both wore out very quickly.....

I had Interact k3's on the blade after which transformed the bike and now have PR3's on the CB1K which are awesome for my needs, I truly belive that OE are not the same as aftermarket and I will just get them to swap out some new tyres before I ride out the shoroom next time !

Sorry to hear about your ankle rtasker hope you recover quickly ! and the bike isnt to bad or expensive to fix !

can vouch for that, I went for a replacement s20 as I still had plenty of life left in my front, the difference in feel is an eye opener

I think the tyre company's are taking a real risk doing this and I'm very supprised they would put their names on shite tyres, you would of thought they would at least have a "sister" company and put a cheap name on it
I'm actually quite disgusted that these company's would take a risk with our lives too!

Thanks again, everyone. The quote from Performance Bikes seems pretty unambiguous.

The ankle is on the mend. I had to wear a big Goth type boot for four weeks, which caused much interest and amusement at work. That came off last week.

The bike is costing a packet, but I'll hopefully have it back on the road in some form this weekend.

I'll let you know in a week or two as my oe s20 is being replaced today with a new one. Must say I've found the oe s20 fantastic in all conditions and given 3.5k.

Thanks 1000rr73. I'd be interested to know what you think on the new tyre.
