I put this on the original thread but wanted to make sure people would get a better chance to notice it. This was on another forum I use and I was given the OK to post it here. I know some mentioned wanting to show their respects. "Just heared off a mate of vee's his funeral is on the following 2nd of August at 10am St Michaels Church Burtonwood nr Warrington. All bikes welcome and encouraged. St Helens crematorium for 11am then back to the Catholic club at Burtonwood for the wake."
Thanks for this, got the details off NWB as well. Only just met the guy at our Raven ride out the other week but will go along tomorrow to show him my respect and give him a good send off. Anyone else going?
Went to Martin's funeral today, what a send off! At least 100 bikes there. Hundreds of mourners in Burtonwood for biker's funeral (From Warrington Guardian)
i really cant believe what am reading. just come back off me hols known martin for some time now what a man what a rider rest in peace mate cant say anything so sad
This is just so sad to read the report, family tributes, practical jokes and everything else that made Martin the person he was Pleased a few from here were able to attend - he was not known by many in person from here having only recently joined but made an impression on everyone he met
That was an incredible turn out - really well put together video and reminder of the day - to plan the route, block the junctions etc. was fantastic - Its just such a sad and sorry event. I think Barney was hoping to go up and capture some stills too
Just wanted to send our condolences to the family and friends. Very sorry for your loss. Jon & family.
Wow ... just a fantastic turn out, didn't know the guy but i'm sure if I was him looking down it would be with a tear in my eye... kudos to everyone involved !!
Martin obviously touched a lot of people. You know what they say about the flame which burns twice as bright......
