Just brought a Active Quick Action throttle kit from calsport , just need a bit of advice on what throttle tube to use . The throttle tubes are marked 40 mm , 42mm , 44mm . Not to sure what one to use . Nice quality bit of kit .
I fitted one to my mates XZ10 a couple of months ago and we went for the 44mm one with very canny results, I have an HRC one on my Blade which only has one throttle tube in the kit which if I remember rightly is a few mm bigger than standard (either 34 or 36mm) and to be honest I'm not too immpressed I'll be changing mine for either an Active or SCM one in the winter and will be going for the larger one. I had a 46mm one on my R1 which livened things up nicelly ..... mint fun But realistically you know how you ride and your own abilities so go for the one that you think you'll be ok with as they do make the bikes more responsive, obviously the bigger the size the more response
Sorry to jump in on your thread....but I have just bought a track bike with this quick action throttle. Does anybody know what the nut and bolt is for that cones out between the cables? Mine is fowling against my short levers on hard braking....Some pictures I've seen on the net do not have this nut and bolt in (but the thread is still there) Thanks
