    £83.33 plus VAT...
I took over and hour and the bike ran through the range a few times before the percentages were set.

Guy done my last blade but didn't block it.it was after I had got tipped
Off that the blade even had the system (use to only cal. Models using it)
I got it checked again and the mixture was out by 2% so they had
Mapped the bike making it worse, got it redone with the pipe blocked and
Gained around 4hp over the bad map they made(on the first half)

Ive experimented with autotune and it does strange things its hard to predict when it's going to add air, sadly I need to play more with the system to fully understand where Honda add air and the effects on AFR. I have many many experiments to do so I can answer so may questions I have from over the years the guys I know with dynos are always busy but that problem will hopefully be solved soon as I plan to add a new service to my workshop ;) then I will know the answers to the little questions that people in the mainstream just don't care or can't be bothered to know :)

Oh I think there are plenty of us who want to both understand and know what the effect could be on our bikes...
I get the effective closed loop system, throttle and sensor inputs get looked up in a table by the ECU to set various outputs (Injector pulse timing, pulse length etc) and I'd love to see the software flowchart for a modern bike... I suspect it's a lot simpler than we think it might be.

i don't have the luxury of autotune as I have a PC3, not a 5, which I think is required, though a self tuning ECU sounds perfect for Yorkshire where we vary from sea level to high hills. Not that the altitude would matter too much, but the variation on the weather systems might.

I wonder why the bike manufacturers don't add them as stock if they have the sensors all over the bike already? Cost?

I'd say cost and no real need to. Guess that puts questions on AT, but that said it does work and work well even if the trims are often small on a mapped bike. You could also argue that as the changes are so small why bother once its mapped, guess the only way to evaluate it long term would be to chart it across a year maybe then you could see the environmental effects on AFR etc.. But as you'd understand with so many factors its hard to say even if you did chart it. I checked mine tonight I don't look at it that much these days but a few values were maxed out so table reset and I will look at it again later on. Saying that I did change filter brand so maybe there some minor changes in flow. If your into fiddling with your bike AT is a great tool and you can check up on your costly custom map when ever you like.

At top level WSB they use sensors on each header and in the four into one section MGP take it to a whole new level with sensors on each header and multiple sensors on other sections, god knows what goes on in the factory's ECU with wheel speed, throttle inputs, output power, multiple exhaust sensors, fuel metering sensors, axis gyros and all the other data acquisition monitors they use, they run those things so lean the exhaust is white!
