Robin if I was single with no ties ie family, business, grand kids and managing jnr sunday league football then hell yeah I wouldn't mind.Better than bowls definately at retirement age.I used to spend £6-7k on clay shooting a year every Sunday rain or shine to get good enough to beat the world champion when he came to Kent.Achieved my goal in March after 8yrs.Now I'm into managing a football team who are going into the first division this season.I love being busy on my day off(sunday) I call it my learning day.My wife calls it SEE YA day.Getting back on bikes after 25 yrs has relit that fire so you never know which way I will go.I've got a few trackdays to get my eye in coming up so it could be trackdays vs football.Maybe I could fit both in with a divorce en-tow.
Good on ya. It sounds as though you have enough to keep you busy. Fingers crossed that the trackdays do take off for you though.
Just started racing at 48. First race was The King of Combe in June with NGRR. Need to raise the bike now. Touched the fairing down at Pembrey last Saturday.
Good shots there! How are you finding the world of racing? Were you at the NGRR meeting at Anglesey in July?
If I ever become famous ................. and they name a part of a track after me........... It'll be a straight, not a bend............ LOL, Because I'm shit at getting anywhere near you guys. Think I need to attend a track day school.
Some bloody shoe offs here but really toe and peg dragging is fun but I have issues with my knees as due to major hip operations and other hip probs my legs cannot get out that wide. Not like its far when your dragging the pegs but still body position and knees. Need to try and sort if I can !
+1 here too cos of football knees.Legs are slowly opening where they should be.Doc reckons what I'm doing is strengthening them, but boy do they ache after a long run.
