Not to sound like a doom-monger but there's definitely been a slight chill in the air on a morning up in the barren wastelands of the North East. Not be too much longer and the bike will be getting put up on its stands and chained to the floor for the winter.
The last few days it's been down to 13 degress including this morning. but they say it will be warming up and I hope so. Out in the kit car Fri till Sun and want no rain Always find it odd also that it's always warmer in London than any other place in the UK. well always seems to be like that when I see the forecast on TV
London does seem to be a bit of a microclimate. We always seem to get clobbered by the first of the cold blasts from the North. Well aside from our Scottish brothers and sisters.
Up north of you guys it's not too bad I must say, even been walking about with just a shirt on nightshift. Think it'a feelin cold for some as there's more wind than we've been used to lately, plenty more biking weather left this year
Yeah was a bit cooler yesterday morning, but let's hope they don't go gritting crazy this year :-( and just because a weatherman said there is 0.00001% chance of a frost they dump 1 million tons of salt everywhere? :-(
I have a theory....be interesting to see if it's true.....that we've gone back to seasons like we used to have in the 70s. I reckon we're in for another cold, snowy winter.
What does it for me is the stupid way the weather forecasters insist on using YELLOW ALERT or AMBER ALERT for 1" of snow. heavy rain or strong sun. Do they think everyone is daft. I always think Yellow alert is fun. never eat yellow snow lol
As long as it doesn't snow this weekend Just booked my tickets and weekend camping for Donnington BSB
The heating in the house came on last night for the first time in months. We have it set to come on if the temp in the house falls below 20degrees when we are in. That's gotta be a bad sign....
Went out Sunday morning at about 10am. I wish I'd put my neck warmer on, and it was a bit windy to boot. It is supposed to be warming up later this week, but that only applies to London as usual.
Aye. The missus requested the winter duvet last night She was regretting it at about 2:30 though. She was sweating like Peter Sutcliffe's hammer hand. I was despatched to the back bedroom to fetch the thin one again.
It's warm enough during the day, Tyke. It's just of an evening and early morning I can tell that the weather's on the turn.
