Hi Guys So in preperation for my Bodis GPX-2 arriving i decided to remove the exchaust on my 09 blade. I read the manual, pretty straight forward, however there is an extra bit on my exhaust. i have attached some pictures so you can see what im blethering about but it kinda looks like a spark plug lol I watched the following vids as i was determined to do it myself but none of them reference this extra bit (possibly its UK related as the vids are of US bikes) TaylorMade Exhaust Install - Honda CBR 1000 RR - Part One - YouTube 2008 CBR 1000RR Hotbodies Racing Megaphone Slip-On Installation Guide - YouTube any pointers would be appreciated
Your aftermarket exhaust should come with a bung, unscrew that out and fit the bung in its place. Then trace the cable back and disconnect lhs of bike behind fairing where your knee is when riding. Then install an o2 eliminator, if your going down the power commander route. Otherwise just refit to the taylormade link pipe, may be a dif size but should come with an adaptor.
hey mate, thanks for the reply, So the bodis (its not the taylormade that im getting its just that was the only vid i could find) should basically have a bit where i can screw the lambda sensor in? thanks again for the reply mate
Yeah you will have a bit to screw in if not then buy and fit an o2 sensor eliminator, theyre about 20 quid, you can run without an eliminator and the sensor disconnected but youll have a light on the dash
Theres horror stories of it happening with all diff pipes on the blade mate. Hasnt happened to me but my swingarm is all scratched from my boots the blade is like a bloody 600!!
Oxygen o2 sensor eliminator Honda CBR 1000 RR 08-on | eBay found that, seems pretty straight forward to fit thanks buddy
