where from & what color you going for? been thinking of doing the same through the winter to keep me occupied ( 35 yr old problem child) just struggling on what color to go for with black & white, but id sure like to see some pics when your done
Paddock stands by Tech 7 are very similar, I bought mine from M&P here is the link Black Alloy Front Paddock Stand
hrc coloured bike so I went for green lol it will make sense when I get some other light mods finished, get the smd strips off ebay, about two pound per strip delivered and about a fiver for the remote to run them.I will then mount a master power switch under the seat so there will be no power drain while its parked over winter.
Well not strictly today, but fitted a HM plus QS and while I was there I did the full flapper mod and also pair mod. Exhaust has been de-baffled and the exhaust flap removed. The bike sounds sweeeeet....with a lovely crackle and pop on over-run and down-shifts
Now you need to find a narrow street with terraced housing on either side and do a few runs through there, not too fast as "you'll miss all that heavenly glory" (Bruce lee, Enter the Dragon)
Had John from Alpha set up my suspension for me. I believe suspension is a dark art and is akin to witchcraft, also it shouldn't be attempted unless technically qualified as it could really bite your backside. Anyway before I got out if the car park I knew the bike was much more suited to me. The bike when cornering is now so stable it's unbelievable and I'm enjoying it even more....which I didn't think was possible one happy blade owner
Washed the muck off the blade, and am now bidding on a cheap tail tidy and praying none of you spot it and out bid me!!
Removed back wheel and exhaust and gave it a good deep clean. Found about 15mm of grease stuck under the chain guard and inside the sprocket cover, I'm not really into serious cleaning but nice to do when you dont know what history a bike's had. Next on the list is putting the TaylorMade exhaust back on after cleaning and painting it.
after a lovely ride yesterday, took off as much plastic off the bike as my technical skills allow, and gave her a good wash down and polished her up using mr sheen and all the metal bits r gleaming esp the headers with wd40, dropped a bollock re a bolt, theres a post on here sumwhere ./... doh !!
Passed mot with a new rear tyre fitted, had a short blast to bed it in. I think I'll be taking it to mine head butlins this weekend for my future brother-in-laws stag do. (I was going to catch the train)
Cleaned the chain and re-lubed with Wurth dry lube after much recommendations on here, then went out for a good run out in the afternoon sunshine.
Took it out for a good ride out discovered that the seat is bloody uncomfortable after an hour or of riding, also getting a vibration through the bars, so going to get the wheel balancing checked.
