Same... My bikes tend to get washed by the dealer when they're serviced, or not at all...

The kick in the nuts for a mate who got a mk1 was to spend £13k and at first service he asked them to fit a rad guard.
No problem sir, on seeing bill they charged him half an hours labour at somethin like £80 an hour to fit it.

I live the looks of the BMW, was test rode at h same time as a few other bikes and the blade. Went for the blade as it ticked all the boxes I want.

Know one chap who has a 2010 1000rr, been in for lots of service work over the first few years. Several items been replaced more than once but he still went out and bought a HP4 for the road and turned him other BM into attack bike.

Also noticed a recall in MCN for steering dampers on 1000rr and 1200 BMW
Why is there quality at the moment so poor?

I have a bike on my list I'm going to see at the dealers if when it's out to test ride. I would be keeping the blade for track work

The steering damper recall is for aftermarket Ohlins dampers not the factory BMW part.

Just buy one! I'm in bit of a dilemma as I have started a new job driving fuel tankers the S1000RR is a missile to be fair any bike over 125cc will lose your license. Do I sell it and take a kick in the nuts or stick a track fairing on it and have some fun!!

tbh,if i was purely looking for a road bike, then i'd have anything other than a sooki.

i've just bought a 2012 beemer for track as i fancied a change after 6yrs of blades (which are awesome track/road tools).

the simple fact is,if i dont like the beemer for whatever reason,i'll more likely swap back, but if you dont try, you'll never know :)

I use my Hornet when the weathers rubbish, still commuting on the blade at the moment, the hornet has done 2 winters and I have only cleaned it maybe 3 times in its 14,000 miles, bit of bubbling chrome on the gear and brake leavers, else not any anywhere.
