Being that my bike is a USA version, would trying a euro map do any damage to my bike or would it simply not run or other??
Thanks for everyones input on this!!

If it's a US bike then just run the US map to be safe

Thats a bit of a bugger as most of the maps are 04-05 and euro model maps!!
That only really leaves me with around 6 maps to play with and they are just different brands of full exhaust systems and none of those have a flapper mod done or filter!! :frusty:

I think the reason for the difference in US & Euro maps is because the US market use a lower RON rated fuel than Europe.

Your best bet would probably be to speak to/email Dynojet UK & ask their professional advice.

Yeah I think i'll just go with one of the full system maps for my bike for a starter and then as you've suggested speak to Dynojet!
I might have a look at the euro map with the bells and whistles that I was wanting to run and compare it to the values of one of the ones i'm going to have to run for the time being.

A proper custom map is only about £120-160 so if I was in your position I would go for that

As your bike is an import etc it would be best to get a proper tuner to have a go at it.

Yeah you need to use a US map as the fuel is different.

The downloadable maps normally don't differentiate between stock and aftermarket filter.

I can see what people are saying about using a US map because my bike is a USA spec bike, but if the main difference is because of the low RON fuel they use in the States being i'm in the UK using our fuel surely a British map would be what I need!!?

You need to find out if there are any mechanical changes between the US and UK bikes

Your best bet is to speak to dynojet otherwise your just guessing

Yeah I will be either talking to them or going down the custom map route thats if I can find somewhere fairly local to do it!
I forgot to mention I've got a PCV bought and it was delivered yesterday, i got it fitted yesterday evening I've still got a few bits to put back on the bike yet.
For the time being I've installed a USA spec map for a full system and the bike starts and is smooth at idle, i'll try and get out on it later for a run!!

Yeah sorry mate, I forgot you have a US bike but are actually in the UK!
I think you should use a Euro map, but check that with Dynojet.

Can someone please confirm that the plug on the left (two white wires in the first photo, white and grey wires in 2nd and 3rd photos) is the O2 sensor plug. View looking up under the frame on the left side of bike.

If so, which half of the plug is attached to the frame and which half can you release? I can't get the plug apart and it would help to know which half to pull on.

I did mine with the fairing still on.
I think it was the plug nearest the back of the bike.
You probably need to squeeze to release the catch before pulling it.

Just follow the wire from the sensor to the connecter , I also did mine the first time from the side if the bike with out removing anything .. Just trace the cable up and remove the bottom part that leads to the sensor .. Its pretty straight forward

If you need a map for the PCV I have one for an RR7 with Full Akra, Flapper, Open Air intake, BMC's.. The maps can be used on the US model no problem as far as I know. I was the first RR7 to run the PCV from the 600RR in the UK.. :) I am a dynojet dealer and thought at the time I would like to run AT200 on it too.. :) PM me your email if you want it.
