Anyone seen these? Halo Eye HID Projector Headlight Assembly Honda CBR1000RR 2008 2009 2010 2011 | eBay Pete
Mine arrived today, will post results when fitted. First impressions are good tho. I bought the projector kit so will have to dismantle my headlight assembly to fit myself it looks easy enough from the videos on youtube. Cost £180 including postage and packing
have a look at this, HID Projector HID Light Honda CBR1000RR 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 they can also supply the projector kits ready fitted into a head light unit.
This is the set if you wanted a complete assembly and just want a complete replacement, as I mentioned earlier Honda CBR1000RR Custom Headlight Assembly , Honda CBR1000RR Angel eye HID Projector Headlight , Honda CBR1000RR Headlight Assembly , Honda CBR1000RR HID Projector Light 2012 2013 2014
Looks like we are all purchasing the same items from the man in China ktautopart.com, just comes down to basics really, how much you want to spend and how difficult it is to fit. Putting the projectors into the fireblade headlight assembly is the easy part, watch the videos on youtube. so why people want to charge/pay £100 for this is beyond me, done mine in less than 20 mins, the diificulty is wiring it in to you bike, not easy but not impossible.
How are you all wiring in the demon eyes? as the blade lights are always on? Or have you not taken them?
My thoughts are , to have Angel eyes on when you turn on the ignition . when bike has started then the lights will go white and using the original Honda switch to flip from hi and lo. Don't really want to ride around with just Angel eyes on just in case some car driver doesn't see you (plus IMO they're a bit of a gimmick) have heard from an electrical friend that there is a cable from the alternator which gives a signal to the battery light on the dashboard, that goes out when engine is running. He thinks that i could use this as a trigger for the bike to automatically switch from angel eyes to dipped, then use original honda switch for hi/lo beam.
I emailed about the Demon eyes, they provide a switch which allows you to turn off the HID's completely so you can just get the Angel eyes and Demon eyes on for showing off. It also sounds quite good as you'd be able to start the bike up and then turn the HID's on when its started, so less draw onteh battery for those that dont have it always plugged into a trickle charger. "Dear Peter, The angel eye and demon eye will be turned on when you switch on your bike, the relay harness for the custom headlight equipped with one toggle switch which can ensures you turn the low beam on/off,hence you can still have demon eye function, you can turn the hid light on when you need. Any questions, please feel free to ask. Regards, Franco"
I fit waterproof switch to my projector kits very easy as well, 12v to 24v. I've had mine on my blade coming up to a year now with No problems. No drain on battery with light on full power or with HID's on. Good safety feature as motorists can see you. If any 2004 / 2007 blade owners want a set of these lights complete I have one set leftover. Comes with new light unit , 2 Projector lights Bi Exon, 2 silm ballast 35w, small HID's for Angle eyes, fit on custom light weight aluminium full adjustable bracket, plus 12v fuse 20amp. Delivered £235. ANYWHERE IN UK This unit only needs Relay as Nambiker had my last one. Pm if interested
I didnt mean the lights off as a good feature sorry. I meant that whilst the lights are on and you start the bike they put a draw on battery, if you could manually switch the lights off completely when starting after a while with the bike standing and not being ridden the likelyhood of it starting would increase. I agree lights on = safer for all bikers.
Pete I left my bike lights on full, few months ago for over an hour an bike started fine. If your battery not good change at the first chance you get. These new style lighting is less drain on battery giving the bike more power from bat ;-)
I'm thinking more long term drain for those who dont trickle charge their bikes (like me) i've left the blade before for a month not starting or riding it and it struggled. I have a new higher cca battery in mine compared to the pants Yuasa ones they fit. On a battery that has slowly discharged over time any draw you can reduce gives it a fighting chance
Q: Do you need to splice the wires into the Honda loom or do they come with fittings so that it's plug 'n play?
Depends on how good your auto electric guy is. And getting same male or female from light wire as the relay, Relay need power, 2 ways of doing this, straight to battery or patch in to loom with 12v 20amp fuse
Hump, could you do a set of Headlights for an 09 blade? what would the cost of the kit be? One like this would be ideal Honda CBR1000RR Custom Headlight Assembly 2008 2009 2010 2011 Cheers Pete
